Festival Celebrates Fifth Anniversary

MADISON, October 22-- The fifth anniversary of the Wisconsin Book Festival took place on October 18-22, 2007 and featured over 160 locally, nationally, and internationally acclaimed presenters including former Poet Laureate Ted Kooser, Pulitzer Prize winner Michael Chabon, Jane Hamilton, and exiled Kenyan writer Ngugi wa Thiong'o.

The 2006 Festival also featured a revamped children and family program that featured Wisconsin's own Caldecott winner Kevin Henkes, Lois Lowry and the esteemed poet and author Marilyn Nelson. A More Perfect Union's theme "To Establish Justice" featured renowned authors Anthony Grooms, Marge Piercy, Jonathan Harr, and James Yee.
