3rd Annual Wisconsin Book Festival


MADISON, October 10--The 3rd Annual Wisconsin Book Festival took place on October 6-10, 2004, and featured an outstanding cast of presenters including two of the nation's most revered storytellers Richard Bausch and Charles Baxter, Pulitzer Prize winning novelist Jeffrey Eugenides, National Book Award finalist Edwidge Dandicat, all of whom participated in the Saturday Night Festival of Fiction at the Orpheum Theatre's Main Stage.

The 2004 Festival also featured the Wisconsin Humaities Council initiative A More Perfect Union series which featured Edmund White, Edwidge Danticat, Nell Freudenberger, Joel Turnipseed, and Rattawut Lapcharoensap.

Several events for writers were also featured including Peter Turchi's discussion of his book Maps of the Imagination and Graywolf Press's 30th Anniversary Celebration. Also on hand were the writers of "The Daily Show" and "The Onion."
