We Read Youth Voices Writing Contest: Authors Reception

In celebration of the 2023 We Read Youth Voices Anthology, we invite the featured authors and their families to join us for donuts and coffee, reveal the published book, and hear a special question and answer session from our grand prize winner and runners-up.

Madeleine Bohn is the 2023 We Read Youth Voices Youth Ambassador and the 2022-2023 Madison Youth Poet Laureate. She will be a sophomore at Madison West High in the fall.

Diya Dhawal is a sophomore at Middleton High School where she plays basketball and golf and is involved in a lot of clubs. She likes reading, going to the gym and watching movies. In the future she wants to become an astrophysicist and write children’s books.

Eliza Thwing is an 8th grader at Sennett Middle School and is involved in Cross Country. She loves to bead and make jewelry, as well as taking her dog Wyatt on long walks. In the future she would love to write novels and be an interior and exterior designer.

Hazel is a 7th grader at Sennett Middle School. She loves drawing, writing, and solving Rubik's cubes. She likes to participate in Scouting activities such as campouts, meetings, and working on merit badges.
